2011 News
New Activities, New Wineries, Same Great Jazz
We expanded the Fest this year with the addition of local artist exhibits and sales. Our guests stopped by their booths to see watercolors, fine photography, oil paintings, and more.
We were excited with the lineup of top wineries from Trinity County and nearby niche vineyards. Winery representatives were present to talk about their wines and answer any of your wine questions. We thank our wineries for their tremendous support.
Aimee Fackrell Nolte and Hideaki Tokunaga joined us again in 2011 for a great afternoon of jazz. Hide (pronounced "Ee-day") returned from Japan for our event!
Our silent auction with "must-have" items and our raffle to support local after-school sports programs were very popular.
Responding to vocal demands from the guys, we added barbecuing to the cookoff. In our new location, cooks were able to cook on-site with BBQs and propane or butane stoves this year. Also, we increased the Cookoff Judges' Choice Awards:
1st place - $150
2nd place - $100
3rd place - $75
Our expanded "Beer Garden" was buzzing with guests enjoying microbrews from Lost Coast Brewery and Etna Brewery. These breweries make exceptional artisan beers and we offered a selection of their best.
Starting to get hungry? The Weaverville Clampers joined us again this year to offer their better-than-ever BBQ sandwiches. Be sure to stop by and feed that hunger.
You won't want to miss the 3rd Annual Trinity Lake Fest! Mark your calendar NOW for July 21, 2012! See you there!
