This fun and friendly cookoff competition gives North Trinity Lake supporters a chance to showcase their talents and win a prize and/or cash, while helping to raise needed money for our local charities.
This is a fun event for a team --
Dad and child, Mom and sister, Best friends, or neighbors
The Cookoff is limited to 30 entries.
The Cookoff entry fee of $10 entitles you to a Fest commemorative wine glass when you check-in.
As a fundraising event, the public can buy a tasting "kit" containing 8 tickets to taste cookoff appetizers. Tasting tickets are included with the purchase of a wine tasting ticket.
A Crowd sample is typically just 1-2 "bites" (think Costco food samples and fitting in a 2oz cup).
Contestants will provide 3 plates of appetizers for judging and at least 120 sampling bites. (300 guests x 8 tickets / 20 contestants).
New this year, due to our outdoor venue: cooks can use propane and butane stoves, as well as barbecues or hibachis. Contestants must provided their own cooking equipment. But, there is NO electricity available for crock pots and warmers.

Examples of Appetizer Samples
Remember, samples can be small (1-2 bites). For example, you can cut an egg roll into 3-4 pieces, cut marinated mushrooms in half, or bake a tray of pastry and cut it into small squares for topping. The samples do not have to be garnished.
